Light therapy applies specific energy wavelengths to the body to boost circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin elasticity, and alleviate pain.

Why Is The “FDA-Cleared” Label So Important?
The FDA regulates all “medical claims” made by device manufacturers. Before any medical claims can be legally made by a device manufacturer, those claims must be reviewed by the FDA for evidence of efficacy and safety.
Having a medical device “cleared” by the FDA is a rigorous, time-consuming, and expensive process. Medical device manufacturers that pursue FDA-clearance are demonstrating to the public their commitment to providing safe and effective products.
Without FDA regulation, neither the device nor its suppliers are held accountable to quality controls or manufacturing standards, resulting in a product that may be considerably less effective and significantly less safe.
How Long Do Celluma Devices Last?
Celluma is manufactured in Southern California to USA medical device, FDA, ISO, and CE standards. Regarding the diodes, they have a projected life of 100,000 hours and do not begin to degrade until 10,000 hours or approximately 20,000 treatment sessions.
We have done 3-year accelerated testing based on professional use (4 times a day, 4 days a week, 50 weeks a year or about 2,400 treatments) and seen no significant degradation to the device. As a point of reference, our cumulative warranty repair rate for all devices ever made is less than a half of one percent. Essentially, the device only breaks when it is misused.
